    Thoughts when buying a gun

I'm a wood stock man myself, I've never owned a synthetic stock in my life, I've met quite a few synthetic people though. IME good Wood has a deep primeval appeal and can be admired for inherent asthetic integrity, such qualities arent easily replaced.

Newly discovered problem with the GPR

My habit is to slip the Ramrod under my belt just behind my back on the range, and use to do the same on the hunt when game was near. Easy enough for me as my ML Rifles are no longer in Barrel than 38 ".

Newly discovered problem with the GPR

Worn out work glove leather should never be wasted.

Flint works loose after multiple shots

Indeed, the leather is thick enough to be spongey and allow the Flint to move about. I'd suggest trying a flat lead T shape flint wrap if the problem cant be resolved with a leather wrap.

Yep, in addition to the various grades of Vent picks, RB moulds; Patch knives; Flint and Tool wallets; hand made Powder measures (PMs)... (thank you Lord for Charlton Heston and Lamb shank bones worthy of PM making) all manner of Jags, Ramrods; Possible pouches; Shooting bags (each ML has to...

    Kit v. Factory

I think that many of us have been overwhelmed and intimidated with the Perfection imperative when it comes to building a Kit, sure lets do the best we can to get the fitting of metal to wood right but why agonise over it all ? Dont get me wrong I really appreciate the fine precise work and...
