Here is a Kibler woodsrunner with an added brass patch box. I also replaced the front sight with a silver blade. This one has the .54 barrel and the standard grade maple stock. It has some carving on the stock and a bit of engraving on the lock. It has a lightly aged finish on it also. Price shipped in the lower 48 except California is $2200.00 I have more photo's if you need them. I would be willing to take a second gen Colt 1862 pocket navy, 51 navy and possibly other models as partial trade.

That's a nice patch box for that rifle. Simple but appropriate. I don't want to buy the rife, but if you'd care to expound on the patch box I might be interested in the build detail.

LOP and weight? Thanks

“”Price shipped in the lower 48 except California is $2200.00””

What does this mean?

Lop looks like 13-5/16" to me but I think Jim spec's is 13-3/8". The weight according to my bathroom scales is 7.2 pounds.

You can ship muzzleloaders directly to someone's home address in CA.

Yes that is true , I have purchased several on this forum and they were delivered by USPS with no problems for me or the sender .
one from Midway , one from Ohio one from South Dakota and one from Blackpowderwarrior
My first revolver was a local Craigslister.

Blitz

I will get the LOP and weight after I get home from church.

I have read the California laws on firearms and have decided it's too much of a hassle to ship muzzleloaders to that state. I'm sorry if this offends anyone.
Hello Squirekawk, there are no restrictions on sales and or shipping of muzzleloading firearms to California. You might want to check for yourself. When California gun enthusiasts are denied access to purchases of guns and ammunition based on the false rumors of California gun law restrictions, it’s smacks of gun rights propaganda.
We have plenty of proud muzzleloader owners in California. It’s a strong community which needs the support and brotherhood of the rest of the country.

I read the new law as California posted it on the internet. I seen nothing in it that said muzzleloaders were not firearms or that they were exempt. I don't have tens of thousands of dollars to fight the system so I can make a few bucks. The way the law is written looks like it is just vague enough that they can get you if they really want to. If you don't like this I am sorry. But you nor anyone else is responsible for me. I am and will decide where and when I want to take risk.

Perhaps not appropriate in this thread but as a heads up you might want to check the laws in all 50 states and not focus just on CA. Living in CA
I have often wondered about the law concerning muzzleloaders here but it seems there are states that do restrict how you ship. Any muzzleloader
I have ordered has come to my door.

I’m not legal expert but according to muzzle-loaders.com FAQ they state the following.

Which states will you ship to?

We ship directly to customer's doors throughout the United States, except for customers in the following jurisdictions:
  • New Jersey
  • Illinois
  • Washington D.C.
  • New York City, as well as all pistol or revolver orders within New York State
  • Ohio (pistol or revolver orders)
In these jurisdictions, the law requires muzzleloaders to be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer, which we are happy to help arrange for your convenience. As a disclaimer, please check your local ordinances and statutes to ensure compliance with all laws.
