I remember that when I was a youngster, my Granddad, John Bean (on my mother’s side in Jefferson county) used to tell stories about his Uncles and Granddad making rifles in Tennessee and N.C. (How I wish that I had paid more attention). <br />
So, I really perk up when I see pictures of a Bean rifle. I live in rural Greene county just above the Macoupin Creek bottoms which, enters the Illinois river close to where it flows into the Mississippi, about six miles from Carrolton. <br />
Anyway, I just thought I would let you know how much I enjoy your web-site & forum (It’s very friendly).
