I had been primed for the enjoyment and appreciation of history upon my first visit to Ticonderoga in 1980, It wasn't until 1994 that I began on my quest to research the 18th century from a Native perspective of history. After weeding through volumes of speculation and conjecture, I began working on my own interpretation. 14 yrs later, and after much prodding from friends and fellow researchers, I began to develop "At The Eastern Door" which is a website designed not only to hack out a living, but to provide accurate documentation and information rather than simply selling something.
