Retired 40 year Department of Defense Engineer, formerly a tool-and-die maker. I have operated a gun repair business part-time since 1970. Since retirement, Wood's Gun Repair Service is a full-time endeavor. I repair modern cartridge firearms and traditional flint and percussion guns. I also do leatherwork (Possibles bags) accoutriments, and a few knives and horns. Most of these are copies of Southern Mountain-made originals. Assemble a few Southern Mountain rifles, buy the lock and barrel; make rest.
