My main interests are my wife, 2 grown daughters, and my 2 granddaughters, who we watch. I've been into guns and hunting all my life. Mostly handguns, but I like everything from flintlock to full-auto. Fired my first flintlock in 1975, the first PA hunt - missed. I have two flints, an Uberti 1803 Harpers Ferry (.58 cal) and another Harpers Ferry(.54 cal) that was built by an old friend (now departed) Ed Zetler. He is with me everytime I fire that rifle. Most people think it's an original. It is.
I have been a casual flinter, but getting more into it. My favorite period is the French and Indian War (Seven Years War), started in my backyard). Also the Whiskey Rebellion, which literally began in my backyard - my home sits within the original Neville Plantation. I like whiskey/whisky too.
My other major interest is traditional folk music - Irish, Scottish, American, Australian etc. I sing and play the wooden flute, and have been making music longer than I have been shooting. And I ramble.
