Have an original M1842 Harper's Ferry smooth bore .69 caliber musket. Lock plate was ground smooth with no eagle or HF so I replaced it with a Springfield lock plate from eBay. Fit perfectly. Sold my original and made $20 on the swap. Also have a M1795 Harpers Ferry flintlock.
