I recently rekindled a lost passion of mine from childhood. My father was a member of the American Mountain Man Association in the early 1980s and Muzzleloading and Rendevous was a big part of my childhood. Now in my late 30s I have rediscovered this passion and have been having a blast building and shooting a St. Louis Hawken rifle, Hawken pistol and a Remington 1858 cap and ball revolver. I recently purchased a modern in line muzzleloader but haven't shot it yet. I am skeptical about the modern muzzle loaders because the traditional guns are so much fun and full of history.
