Not much to say.. I'm 67 years old, widowed, I've got 2 old dogs,(a Dalmatian and a Golden Retriever). I've got a beautiful girlfriend who lives in Seattle and we see each other once a week or so, but not enough to hurt us none!!I enjoy working on and running steam locomotives. I like to travel around the country in search of whatever it is I'm looking for at the moment. I am beginning to get into black powder shooting due to trading for a couple of CVA Kentucky Rifle kits that I got for next to nothing. I decided to improve on them by doing little things like beefing up the wood screws and replacing them with a bit bigger brass ones, going up a size on the stock joining pins, rounding out some of the rough-cut brass and trying some inlays to the stocks, etc, etc...I know, I know. "You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear." But my work is self pleasing and I think they look a damned far sight better, and are a bit more beefy to boot! Besides that, I'm retired and I enjoy doing it!
