I grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska. First memories are of getting bucked off a horse. First guns were a Daisy BB gun, an old Steven's bolt action .22 and a 1903 Remington 30-06. From there went to a .220 Swift for coyotes. Built my first muzzle pistol from scratch in the early 1970's buying just the barrel and nipple from Dixie. Didn't do anything with muzzle loaders till mid 1980's when built a Dixie .54 Hawkin. Took a number of deer with it. Built a number since then with last a scratch built .54 Hawkins. Enjoy blacksmithing, cooking, writing, gardening, and my grandkids.
