    Original Double Shot Snake

Thought I'd share something my father had refurbished and given to me. It's a double shot snake. I posted this in the historical equipment forum, but I don't seem to have access to that yet. We had the rotting leather replaced. The original leather is on the right. I know next to nothing...

    Fearnaught

So, this is the interpretation of what is thought to have been Jim Girty's rifle.

    Trench, here!

Hilarious! That photo of me is 9 years old. I’m 47 these days. I’ll have to get some more current photos on here after some new adventures.

    Fearnaught

As far as I can tell, he’s still in Maine and he’s still maintaining a website and still building. I don’t know how many times he reminded me my rifle has 7 barrel keys. Drove him nuts.

    Fearnaught

That deer was only 30 feet away on the other side of some brush. I ran on to him after 5 min of hunting that year.

    Fearnaught

I wrote that shortly after I got the rifle. I keep it in the patch box.

    Fearnaught

I had this rifle built for me by Roy Stroh back in 2012. It's an interpretation of a John Small rifle c. 1795, which was made in Indiana. The original resides in the Indiana State History Museum. I named her "Fearnaught", after William Henry Harrison's horse. This rifle has served me well...

    Stripping Pedersoli "Brown" Barrel Question

Long ago, I stripped off the blue from my Pedersoli Frontier rifle lock. I soaked it in toilet bowl cleaner followed up by a water and baking soda bath to stop the process and rust. However, I'd like to hear some other ideas before I'd try that one on barrels. :)

Got to shoot my .36 today.

Excellent! That's what you want to see a 'squirrel rifle' do!

    Trench, here!

For those who remember me from almost ten years ago, hello again! For all the new people I'm looking forward to getting to know, hello for the first time! I've been shooting traditional flintlocks since 2006 and was an 1812 reenactor from 2011 to 2015. I've been off the forum since 2015 and...

    Fearnaught

Hello! This is Trench. I was a regular member from 2006 from 2015.....and then life happened. I'm looking to get back in the game and I'd like to reintroduce by baby, "Fearnaught". This is an interpretation of an Indiana rifle made by the original 18th and early 19th century Indiana gun...
