I'm a 67 year-old divorced graduate of University of Illinois who just retired 1/2017 and decided to expand my horizons in the shooting sports by getting into muzzleloading. I'm definitely just learning (where do the bullets go again?) and I'm researching a first purchase for a small-caliber rifle, probably a .36. I had surgery for a detached retina seven years ago and my doctors advise against any significant recoil, which seems like good advice to me. Looking forward to some shooting this summer!
