Well, back in September, Tallpine posted an ad for a wonderful Hudson's Bay Company Replica Knife. I saw that, hemmed and hawed over it until it was too late, the knife of my dreams had been sold. I regretted not buying that one as soon as I had seen it, and kept going back to look at the pictures. Eventually, I thought "what if"....

And yes, Tallpine was open to making me one of those same blades as a commissioned piece. It finally arrived over the weekend, and it is everything I had hoped for, and more. To say exceptional, is an understatement. A great knife, hefty but well-balanced. Nothing but a joy to hold in the hand, and I'm sure one that will get good use in the field.
