Beautiful finish ..EXACTLY !! I finally have a N.W. trade gun ! Finally ....but it aintveven finished yet , LOL ! Funny ...story ...and has happened more than once . Thanks bud . I like the " old finish " about the only way I make em.... not for everyone but I really dig itBeautiful finish ..
Man I wish it was mine!
Really like that stain!!Wanna start doin this for each build ....Here's the start picture and the finished picture side by side , ought to be neat. . Hard to believe its the same gun in both pictures !
LOL ... I know bud . I was just having fun , it was unloaded . Shed never seen nor handled a flintlock before let one one as long as she was .Teach that girl to put her right foot forward and lean into it.
Bad posture leads to aiming big, missing big.
LMAO !!!! Your awesome bud !!Purty, Rob. You know rustic for sure, even the edges of the trigger guard are pitted to match the flat surfaces.
Us lefties are forming a mob to "influence" certain recalcitrant gun builders in Ohio, I think you're safe from us....for now
48"?? You need a wide-angle lens!Gonna start building an Iron mounted , South Paw , Carolina Gun for a gentleman in Massachusetts soon . Cherry stock , 48" 20 ga. barrel , L&R lock . Here's the beginning pics
LOL ! Yep ! Some of them tall fellers like them LONG barrels ! They will get better shot groups then the shorter guns .... Us short guys wear out the buttstock kickin it away from us to load them long suckers !!48"?? You need a wide-angle lens!
Cool , glad I might have helped ya in some way ....I like that!I also like that finish...I struggle with getting that aged finish. Got the barrels where I like them. But not the stock yet. Did fix the couple items on my last trade gun that Rob an others pointed out. Much appreciated by the way....
