Help identify this percussion rifle

I need help identifying this percussion rifle. This is the only markings on it. I don't know caliber. The barrel has rifling in it. If you have any info or value it is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a Kentucky rifle made by a gunsmith trained in the European tradition! Lots of German/ European immigrants came here in the 1830’s-1870’s, maybe a few were gunsmiths. Nice find, with the bolster instead of the drum for the nipple. Someone on here will know more than I.
 
Comes out of the W. Virginia area. The name on the lock means nothing. Look on top of the barrel. Is it carved?
It may be worth 3 to 4k if it's carved, maybe more. It's probably about 1840ish
