Here is an 18th century style folding knife that I'm working on right now. I have copied this from an original that I picked up years ago. I believe this kind of folder came from Italy from mid 19th century folders I've seen that look very similar. This one is not as big as some folders but has a blade a little over three inches.

Very nice work, Squirehawk. Did you have that folder on display at this years CLA show? I was allowed to take several photos of a knife very similar to yours, at the show. It's an interesting piece, and your rendition, of the original, displays very nice craftmanship.

And yes, RiverRat, making folders is very time consuming, and difficult to do well.
