Pedersoli Brown Bess, serial number 23XX. I picked her up secondhand a handful of years ago from her first owner, who bought her new for reenacting during the Bicentennial. At some point he had the sideplate replaced with a 1st model sideplate.
The bore is decent, with a little bit of pitting. Lock works well. I’ve used this musket for reenacting, target shooting, and hunting, and she’s even been displayed in a couple of museum exhibits. Comes with a bayonet, but I never did get around to making a scabbard for it.
As much fun as we’ve had over the years, I need to face the fact that I’m not going to join another line unit, and three Besses is an extravagance. Besides, I’m trying to raise funds for a Woodsrunner… 🤣
Asking $950, which includes shipping. Or delivery, depending on where you are.

Can i see a bigger picture of the side plat area thanks

Interesting since when I refinished my new Pedersoli Brown Bess last year I also replaced the side plate with a 1st Model one. Took a lot of filing to get everything to fit but I like the look of the 1st Model side plate a lot better.
