It's somebodies modern build. Without a name, anybody's guess.
It has been tapped for a scope mount, and the rear sights are adjustable. Looks like somebody's hunting rifle at some point. I have moved this to Percussion Rifles as it's not pre-1865 original.

A contemporary build. There could possibly be some marks on the barrel that would indicate the barrel maker. Not a well informed build, probably someone's first attempt. Looks like it could be reworked into a prettier rifle.

.45 cal. I bought it off an older gentleman out here in Missouri he was using it for benchrest shooting and off hand.

I love the way it is.The rifle is very accurate and has a sweet trigger.
