I'm keeping the brass trigger guard but I'm wanting to replace the back part of the handle for a steel one.

This is on a pieta, I never have liked the particular shape of this one, its snot quite the same as the original ones and I'm either going to sell it to someone who wants a little bit different shape on their 1851 Navy or trade it if someone has a steel one they'd like to swap for. The wood grips come in the deal.

No they are just unusually shaped grips that the manufacturer of this piece made.

Instead of a hogs leg they look more like a horse's hoof.

There's nothing wrong with them an I think there's somebody out there that will like them on their sixgun.

I cannot guarantee it will fit perfectly on another pietta, may require welding , heating , bending, forging , grinding or cutting
