Since I gave up squirrel hunting, up for sale is a 12-gauge single barrel shotgun with a 29-inch full choke barrel. It has a chambered breech along with hook for easy takedown. It is sure fire. Excellent bore. It has a deep rust brown outside finish. Soldered rib and thimbles. The stock and lock is Thompson Center, and the barrel is glass bedded.

I used wool 12-gauge wonder wads because of the full choke. Two over the powder and one over the shot. The thin over shot cards and cushion wads can be pushed past the choke. I have also used corn meal over the powder for wadding with excellent results. This is a lightweight shotgun. ...................$400 shipped.

Thanks for looking

Bob

I like the pattern in the photo. Are there others with different loads, or can you comment about your experience with other loads - in particular larger shot sizes? Seem it would be an effective turkey gun.

I have not shot it with shot larger than # 7-1/2. The photo of the pattern above is an 80-grain square load using Corn Meal between the powder and shot. I used this shotgun for our annual shotgun match for several years until all the old timers quit shooting.

Below is an image of the bore. It is oily with cleaning patch fuzz in it. You can see the full choke constriction beginning about an inch and a half down the bore. The muzzle measures a nominal .690
