All I know about this unusual item is already posted. It`s origins are shrouded in mystery and myth...Any idea at all as to age and origin? Is that grip really ivory? Or bone or???

Looks like the blade is coming out of the barrel, so I'm assuming the hammer and trigger are just for looks. In the description you recommend not loading or firing the pistol. I don't see a a nipple, is it non firing or non-firing?
Thanks

Yes, to fit the swordIs the cane hollow can u look down it?
Its a cane shotgunYes, to fit the sword
It looks like it is besidethe blade? That is how you make them. There is no other way unless you do away with the sword.Where is the pistol barrel. Am I missing something ... is it just a stage prop. If there is actually a working pistol what caliber , etc.
Wife has a bad back she could use the cane. But I wouldn't trust her with a knife up close, with a gun I be pretty save since she can't hit the barn side at 12ft. with a pistol .... I'd be safe, maybe. ZEE
