I had a Big Bore mountain rifle but it didn't have a patch box? It was an old one? What gives?
My CVA Mt. perc. that I got recently, (posted about it here) has no markings, but seems high quality in all aspects. A fellow here clued me in that mine was Spanish based on details. It was partially worked on by a prior owner, did very high quality wood work on it! It dates from about 1980 and came to me via a friend who was given it for helping an auctioneer out. I need to finish assembly, but the inletting and fitting done by the old owner will make it easier. The bore rifling looks very high quality. Thanks for your post.
