Been a while since I've been online and even longer since I had a Flintlock. Been sticking mainly to underhammers. Was in one of my local gun shops yesterday and noticed a long rifle on the rack and it was a Flintlock. Closer examination revealed a Navy arms / pedersoli .45 flintlock. They don't sell too many black powder rifles. Mostly Tupperware and other common pistols. I asked him what they wanted for it he said two and a quarter. I said would you take 200 for it? Done deal

Date code puts it at 1977. Would this have been a kit or a complete rifle sold by Navy arms? Some of the inletting is so-so

I bought that same model back 35 years ago. It was and still is a great piece. It has taken several deer and lots of squirrels! You should enjoy it. Oh, and you got a deal! I think I paid 240 for it new back then.

Just yesterday I was looking at my navy arms .45 Kentucky rifle and am thinking about converting it to flintlock. It's a 1976 percussion model by the barrel marking. I guess I got at steal at $125. Seems like a decent gun though I haven’t fired it. The stock is an odd color and don’t know if it’s walnut or maple. It has the color of maple but I believe the factory says the are walnut.Found an old thread where someone did the same conversion but he hasn't been logged on since 2023.
