I'd love to know the history of this one. I bought this in France but it has American features, not the least of which it was made in what looks to me like cherry with knotholes. Knotholes would have been rejected by any European at that time. Dutch type I trigger guard. Hand made butt plate and ramrod pipes. The lock is a replacement that I just got for it but it's such a good fit I have trouble believing the original was not a similar French trade lock. Unmarked barrel, could be Dutch. Large calibre military barrel. What I really wish I could know is about the mark on top. Warren of course could be the owners name but it could also be a unit mark for Gideon Warren's Regiment of Green Mountain Boys.
