Very nice shape with some minor handling marks in wood and some minor roughness around nipple. Bore is excellent. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity with matching serial number, info booklet and supplemental loading sheet with recommended bullet/mould. I'm considering getting into muzzleloading/hunting. Would these be appropriate for elk? What is the max effective range for a big critter like that? I would rather not buy a modern gun.

The mountain men subdued the great plains, and rocky mountains with .53's


Max range depends on your skill set.

If you got the eyes, and the form, your Probably OK out to 200yds
