I am offering for sale an 1861 Springfield. The lockplate is marked "US Springfield" with an eagle and the date is 1861 on the tail of the plate. This is a solid musket. The stock is free from cracks and is strong. The bore has good, strong rifling with light pitting, but nothing deep. The lock functions perfectly. This is a very shootable musket. Now $875 plus shipping
