Ii just finished one of my 1/4 scale field carriages for a new barrel that Brooks USA is making. It is a 1/4 scale 1841 Six Pounder with a 1.032" bore allowing it to fire 1" balls.
I am making three carriages at the same tome. The first one finished is this one. The other two will mount the Brooks USA Napoleon that I have posted pictures of before.
I'll post pictures of them when they are finished.
This one turned out really nice.
I know all of my 1/4 scale carriages look exactly the same. They are supposed to. I'm making them from drawings published by Antique Ordnance Publishers.
This one turned out really nice.
This is a link to the Napoleons.

You would be very surprised at the very small size of my shop. It is a portable sheet metal building measuring 12' X 24'.
I am very space poor but I'm equipment rich. There is a lot of things stuffed into that small space.🥸

My workshop space measures four feet by just under two feet. I really don't relate to your problem.

Did I mention that my retirement job is as a wholesale dealer of Brasso brand brass polish?

Incredible work! I want my 1/5th scale Spanish Napoleon to look like that!

Given a choice between the Napoleon and the 1841 6 pounder I really like the 1841 profile. That barrel looks just perfect in your carriage. Beautiful work!!
