I bought this amazing 12 gauge beauty here recently. 60 grains of Goex 2F, a 13 gauge card (1/4” thick), same volume birdshot and another 13 gauge card produced the pictured 25 yard shot on my first try. I’m impressed and madly in love with this beast. I also shot some .60 cal round ball tucked in a nest of tow and can hit a man sized target at 25 yards. I’ll get some .72 cal ball to try asap.
PS Yes I left my shooting glasses off and replaced them immediately once I realized.

If you squint fast enough, you won’t need em.

I get a notion in my head once a year to buy/make one just for turkey hunting. Carrying a 10# smoothbore through the turkey woods can wear on the shoulders and arms. Then again, it’s been deadly out to 37 yards… don’t fix what ain’t broken.

Regardless, I’ll start thinking about it, again.
