Rocky Mountain blue bird.

Being the middle of October I cleaned out the bird nesting box’s at the cabin. This weather has the blue birds confused enough that they were laying eggs late. They have left the area without hatching these.

Wow and a half dozen to boot!! I'm sure Old Man Winter is on his way but I'm sure enjoying this fall we're having.

I would put them in a box with an incandescent light bulb as an incubator to see if they would hatch. If they did, get some fishing worms and raise them.

When I was a little kid, about 4, maybe 5 years old I found a blue egg in my aunt's flower bed beside her house. It was Easter time, and I thought it was an Easter egg. I picked it up and took a bite. Aaaaghaatheee, gaaa, patooie!
I now know it was a robin's egg that had fallen from a nest.
