I decided to hunt with the 20 gauge fowler this am. I was in a rush and forgot to pack the bag of roundballs. I was looking through my truck for them and realized they were on the workbench at home 45 minutes away. I sat there angry as it was about to be daylight in 30 minutes. I decided to snack on some candy left over from Halloween. Then I seen it and got a cleaver Idea a jaw breaker is round and about the same size. I popped one out of package and yup close enough I loaded her up with the hard candy. Got to the stand and right after daylight a fat lone doe came out with no buck following at 30 yards. I cocked the hammer aimed and whammmo. She kicked up and fell over stone cold dead. The piece of round candy came apart inside the deer destroying the vitals but it worked. She was literally one "SWEET" tasting doe. Question is am I telling the truth or making up a story.

I met a guy once who was a professional storyteller, had business cards and everything. Quite the character and would get invited to events to bewilder guests with his tales. Even if he was paid or not was a matter of some debate. Anyways, the jaw breaker in a muzzleloader is just believable enough to make a guy think. Cool tale, thanks.
