I only know Loyalist Arm from long association on other matters but Do know they offer good work & take care .
As for dealing with Indian makers Iv'e had a Lot of dealings . The artisans CAN produce wonderful guns & items related . But its the Merchant who can read & speak English that cant resist nickel & dimeing (Read' Rupee & Nie Pise ing' )them down so quality suffers . You Pay Pea Nuts you get Monkeys so to speak .Having sat with them hours in a shop more like a cave developing locks Their tools are the most basic yet their skill is wonderful' I helped I think a bit with my occasional guidance. A Biscuit tin & clay hearth , charcoal for fuel , one hammer needed a knock every time required to stop the head comeing of . For case hardening they sent a boy who came back through the street (Crowded Street needless to add ) come back with a little paper bag full of Cyanide !. Bit of wind ,trip over a Saddoo and half the street would be a gonner But he didn't . Think about that when you grizzle about quality ..
PS, A Sadou is a Holy man they squat in the streets all dusty & painted looking for arms.

Wow! Interesting observations from someone who actually was there! Thanks! (The videos of Chinese factories making swords also exposes the absence of OSHA!:p

Dear Springfield Thank you .it was an experience ,wasn't my first time in India But seemed a good plan to get gunlocks, powder flasks, made & buying old Double rifles & falling blocks plus MLs of English make . From the" Ex Rulers' of Native States . One trip I' Took Tea' (Harmm chye Pienaar witch is the longest sentence I can say in Hindi . Viz" I am drinking tea ") with three Maharajas in a day .Hospitable fellows though their Palaces where crumbling away since 1947 Independence .And We IE Britan paid them pensions to keep them out of our hair while needed development was continued .roads ,railways, bridge's, ports schools ect ect . Most of India was comprised of these ' Native States' . The Maharajah of this ,the Nawab of that , the Nizam of some other 'Native state' They bought estates in England Rolls-Royces heaps of best English Sporting Rifles & Guns . One kept a Steam train' In steam ' IE ready to run .in case some visitor might care to go hunting . ( Their being no phones ect its tracks being all around the estate. The HRH Nizam of Hyderabad if I recall correctly( current one lives in Australia I believe) . All that ceased after 47 & the Leftist crew who took over. .I was comeing through Heathrow once with Two cased Rifles the Customs man says " A bit of the Raj coming home?" . I had a pile of other stuff I declared it came to 20 or so pounds by his reckoning & I says" Well I've only got ten dollars on me hang onto them & Ile come down it a day or so to pay you" . He says " Hmmm" I see don't come it too often ',Bugger off "So I did . One must oblige these fellows .

The same post I added pics of me at Waterloo Belgum & a small R 'Vous or Indian Camp in the UK Added for a fellow poster " Cosistike " our' Boosway 'Of many such events in the UK . The original poster called the Dudgion Dagger a ' Bullock' Dagger its Bollock dagger but modern PC seems to enter in this E gajet neither are rude in this context . How it picked up cock on THIS forum ! I cant fathom its used hourly. Though you in the US persist in calling it a 'Hammer' when the ' hammer 'or' Steel' (Frizzen) 'is what was called the Hammer . I trust this clarifes your confusion .I suspect its some trigger like' Bitch 'gets run as bxxs but its a female dog not rude just same spelling..

Yeah, yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. But I have been thinking about escopetas ahead of moving back to New Mexico and it occurred to me that if there was decent demand for one -- and a decent miquelet lock was available-- I bet Jim could sell dozens of them. Once you get up off the floor and your sides don't hurt any more, share your thoughts.
It continues to bug me that the Spanish occupation of North America gets almost zero attention.
I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one.
There is not enough demand to even begin to cover the setup costs.
