Hi, new member from essex, I've been offered a brown bess and looking for info on whether I should buy or pass. I hope this is okay and I'm sure you are probably fed up of this sort of activity and if not allowed please kick me off. thanks. I'll post what I have been offered. Have had a read through though and some great stuff!

I owned a Kit Ravenshear Bess (Light Infantry Carbine). It would help to know whether you are talking original or reproduction and any markings.

Is this an original or reproduction?
If it’s in good shape either way and you are interested in it if the price is good. Go for it
