On offer is an original percussion converted Halbach & Son 20 gauge fowler. The octagon to round barrel measures 39.75 inches. The octagonal breech section is 16 1/8 inches long before meeting a wedding band transition to round.
The side plate and one lock screw are replacements. The lock is well marked Halbach & Son. It functions, but is a bit gummy. The top of the buttplate is engraved "Independence". There is a decorative panel carved around the barrel's tang typical of Halbach guns. There is some wood loss along both sides of the barrel's tang, but they aren't too distracting. There is also an old repaired crack in the wrist that is quite tight.
Additional photos are available if needed.
I would like $675 shipped for this one.
Thank you,
Garrett
