A few days ago, the UPS facility in Athens, Tennessee burned down.....
Off-topic: reminds me of a YouTube video I saw recently about the "Battle of Athens" where local WWII veterans fought to oppose corrupt local tyranny and did so because they received no Federal support for resolving their injustices and political corruption from their "elected" officials who gained their seats through voting fraud. Real Constitutional heroes, and taking the Founders to heart, it seems:

This is one Federal Agencie that needs to be done away with altogether. Should be privatized by a company that wants to do the job right.
You mean like FedEx and UPS???
Who have gotten just as bad if not worse..... Maybe read some of the above replies.

Also, aren't they privatized, or partially private? Some weird combination of both?

I considered picking up my fowler at Kiblers place of business . It is about two hours away and a nice drive. Had it shipped anyway.
Four Kibler and two Rifle shop kits delivered usps . Hope my luck doesn’t run out.
Aww man.. that’s a trip well worth taking!! My wife and I went to Jim’s business and picked up my Woodsrunner, that area of Ohio is simply fantastic! We ate at the Spread Eagle inn, which was about 1 mile from Jim’s business. It was a great trip… If one is close I’d highly suggest taking the drive!

Yes , i was there for his open house. Spoke with Jim ,Katherine, and ate lunch with Mike and Ethan Yazel .

it made it to my local post office. I get a postal text message that it’s being held at the post office, they sent me the message 15 minutes after the post office closed. So looks like Monday I’ll be able to pick it up at least.
Well it sounds like Monday you’ll be able to put this behind you! Looking forward to seeing your Fowler when it’s finished.

This past summer I focused on getting three higher-grade replicas of a 1763/66 Charleville, 1803 Harper's Ferry and an 1861 Springfield. (Had hoped for originals - and found them - but the budget didn't work.)

Two of the three were in Michigan and the other in Texas. After all of the horror stories of shipping on this forum I drove to each from Minnesota to pick them up in person.

My fowler was delivered nicely by the USPS. She's hard to look at.

Looks good! There’s a lot of meat on that 20ga barrel, that’s why I got one in 16 ga and one in 20. I want to experiment with round balls and non-toxic shot. The 20 should be better for both, definitely a better selection of wads ect… and gives me more peace of mind with the heavy non toxic loads. It’ll most likely get jug choked too.
