I bought a second-hand GPR stock to replace the broken one on my gun. It had a thick brown finish on it that barely showed the wood. I used acetone and rags and scrubbed the gunk off and got a nice brown color and can now see the wood grain. Question is, with what should I top it off, or finish it. Tru-Oil or paste wax. I believe those are the two choices I'm willing to do. I'm wondering what you think, but I'm leaning toward the wax.

Why not give it four thin coats of Tung oil? Not pure Tung oil what the big box stores sell!
