About 4 years ago I came across the CVA 12 gauge at the big reno gun show, offered 200 and he took it! Have taken quail and chukar with it. No problems with it other than I made a new ramrod for it. A couple months ago I attended the show again and found the 10 gauge Pedersoli, offered 200 and he took it! Replaced the ramrod and fixed a small crack inside the stock. Other than that no issues. Everyday I need to look in my gun cabinet to be sure it is not all a dream! The Pedersoli does have a very heavy mainspring, will not have a problem with ignition! If I were to lighten the spring what would be the best approach. I am not a gunsmith but have built a few Muzzle loaders and know my way around tools etc. 400 hundred bucks! I am extremely fortunate. Plan to keep looking to the gun shows for a 20 gauge.

You have two nice guns .I wonder if the Pederso[i stock was for a Kodiak because it has a cheek piece and sling swivel studs And you did not get a good deal on either what you got was a great deal congrats

I’m REAL suspicious of cheap priced guns anymore. Who knows how the seller got them?

I have a 12 gauge SXS Pedersoli that also has a very heavy mainsprings on both hammers. I purchased two replacement mainsprings and reduced the arms on the springs a little at a time until I got the spring force where I wanted. I keep the originals as back-ups. I think I purchased the replacement springs from VTI Parts.

Thanks zug, I have looked at VTI, will purchase before any attempt on mine.
