A project gun I'm never going to find the time to do anything with...amateur build with poor fit and finish but decent components. Likely would best be a re-stock but there's potentially enough wood left in the stock to so some shaping.
The good: Sharon barrel in 54 caliber has a bright and shiny bore. It's 27 inches and a straight 1" inch. The lock is of good quality. The tumbler has a stop, is fitted with a fly and has a screw to adjust depth on the full-cock notch. Maker mark is familiar, but can't place the name. Set triggers work fine.
The bad: fit and finish are pretty awful. The underbarrel rib is detached. I cannot see if it was soldered, or maybe glued or maybe just held on by the browning solution. I've used a zip-tie to keep from losing it. The breech is not properly bedded against the stock.
The ugly: not sure what the wood is under the heavy finish. Stock architecture and style puts this gun firmly in the "strapped a pipe to canoe paddle" school.
There's got to be a talented person that can do something with the parts. Asking $450 with shipping included. If you don't want the stock I will strip the parts and ship them to you for $425. Check or money order. PM for details.
