Just my thoughts, but it is a SMR. I think that inclusion adds character. Can’t really tell from pics, but if inclusion is deep, fill with wood patch If not, finish as usual, and be happy. Will look great.

i agree with Tizzy, but that is just one guy's opinion, and doubtless well worth what yo paid ... either way, it's gonna look really cool when done ...

Really, for 99.9% of people, either colored epoxy or the dark brown CA glue is the best fix for something this size or smaller. It's about a 5 minute job and will look pretty darn good when finished.
The occlusion ended up being so small I didn’t have to do anything! Lol. It’s weird when you take a picture of it it looks like there’s missing material ect… but it’s completely filled, flush and tiny. It’s gonna finish up beautifully.
Sounds great!! I think it would be fun to see side-by-side before & after pics, if you can do that.
