Are the Cylinders from a 1851 .44 Navy Revolver (Pietta) the same as the .44 1860 Army (Pietta)? Just trying to understand why the 5 shot conversion is offered for the 1860 army and not for the 1851 Navy. Thanks in advance. -

1851 Navy Revolver Question.
I just purchased a .44 1851 Navy Revolver (Pietta). I would like to know, is it possible to just change the barrel and cylinder to convert it to a .36 cal. I ask this because I wouldn't mind getting a .38 conversion for it. Trying for 2 guns in one here.:haha: Thanks in advance.
