Coneing, I did it. Joe wood tool

Page two has a photo. So if the coning is putting a tapper in the end of a barrel why is a reamer not a good idea?

    Book question

I saw that book and I guess the name threw me off. I was figuring it dealt with a specific rifle. I will order that. Track has it and I might get some inlays to practice on with a peice of wood at the same time. I saw a few places with the second DVD but can't find the first. Any good...

    Back into muzzleloading

I've been looking at building a gun lately. Years ago I had a Thompson Hawkens and my dad has it now. It has not been shot for probably 8 or so years. What do I need to do to it before shoting it again. Anything to check for? Its a pecusion.

    Book question

I am looking for a good book on building a flintlock. I have pretty much decided between a Lancaster, York or Bedford Rifle. Would Recreating the American Longrifle be a good book to get thats not rifle specific.

    Micrometer / Caliper

They make a paper mic that has larger diameter anvils to advoid smashing softer materials but just getting a feel for it would probably be a cheaper solution.
