    So I wonder now if I'll ever get it 'clean' :) Spot check of barrel, patches look rough

    I plug the end of my barrels after cleaning to store them in my gun cabinet and have anti corrosive stuff hanging inside my gun cabinet, seems to work. Could be a moisture problem where your keeping your gun?

    Cleaning solvents for Pyrodex.

    Also while I'm using the cleaning rod and brush I set the nipple end of the barrel down in my toilet bowl while ramming brush up and down the barrel and it creates a suction flushing process and quicker cleaning and the mess is in the toilet ready to flush away! No mess no fuss!

    Cleaning solvents for Pyrodex.

    I've always used dish soap on brush covered with patch rinse with cold water, Then dry patches and then patches with rubbing alcohol . let set for 10 min. then coat a patch with some bore butter and all set to put away!

    Trouble…

    If it's 6" you should be able to see exactly where the bit will start he said they broke off so the bit should be able to go in the center of the broken pullers once started into the lead ball it will act as a guide and pull bit through the ball. Or as another member said unscrew the breech plug...

    If its only 6" from the end of the barrel just get a long 5/16" x 12" drill bit with a portable drill ,anchor the barrell in a vise and drill out the ball ! it will come out in pieces! Problem solved ! no Grease ,no compressor, NO Mess!
