    Loyalist arms Dublin Castle 1724?

I just went straight in right at the top level of the pan with a 1/16th inch bit. It touches off very fast. Make sure you make your indent with a pin punch so you don't scratch it before you drill.

    Loyalist arms Dublin Castle 1724?

The spring is very strong which makes for fast ignition and good spark, as you said. I did drill the vent myself. Was very easy. I like the wood. It's very pretty. I just wish they would have been more careful and detailed at the finishing touches. I am refinishing it as we speak. The finish...

    Military Heritage Bess pictures.

Here's my daughter holding it: It's a bit rough in the areas around the trigger guard and a few other places where it was inletted for the lockplate but it doesn't really take away from its looks and you really have to look hard. Nothing some light sanding won't take care of, though I may not...

    Need help with a purchase

I ordered a Bess from Military Heritage last Wednesday, it turns out they are out of the 1756 until March sometime. I then changed my order to a 1742, this past Wednesday, since they were also out of the Shortland. Loah and behold they called me today(Thursday) and informed me that they found a...

    Indian muskets?

Thanks Robert! I put my order in on Wednesday for a 1756 Long land. Can't wait for it to show up! Any idea when I should expect it? I tried to call the main number to make sure you had it in stock but the phone was busy all day and the next. I hope that isn't because of a person in this thread.

Well, so far I've heard one good review on MH muskets and one bad. I'll take a chance and review here. :m2c:

Middlesex Village Indian musket write up

Military Heritage is the company I was talking about. I agree with you about Middlesex. I probably could have worded that better. My apologies for the misunderstanding. I also emailed MSVTC and never received a response. I've heard many negative things about Military heritage, so I called them...

Cool, thank you very much. I think I will strip it, sand it, and give it a tung oil finish after an alcohol based reddish-walnut dye.

Oh okay. Thanks for your reply. I can fix those I think. What type of finish is it? Shellac? Oil?

    Military Heritage Products

Well, I'm trying to contact them. Personally, reading his FAQ area he comes off as a jerk. I sent him an email a few days ago and still nothing. I can order from MH and use my debit card and get someone who answers the phone after two rings or a guy who is too busy and gets an attitude about...

    Military Heritage Products

This will be my first flintlock, not my first BP gun. I also work on and restore WW2 and previous firearms, so I think I can manage to check it for safety. If it is unsafe it goes back and I'll just pony up for a different one. Who makes Besses besides pedersoli? I just want a reasonable...
