    Old Steel striker works better than new one?

    Work with your technique. I found thos tow differant steels had to be struck differently. The newone I just strick on the very last half inch of the rod and it works well. cheers

    interesting reaction

    Since powders are corned, i.e. size of the powder granuals, washing the powder probable broke down the size of the granuals and this resulted in a faster reaction. Just a thought. Cheers

    I'm an idiot!!

    Make a ball puller with a sheet rock screw. THey are very sharp and have agressive threads.
