Kansas volunteer that would be great ! The one I’m looking for is flat base that mounts to the actual tang. It’s a two screw mount design. On my TC Hawken I would use the rearward tang screw hole ( closest to the buttstock) and then I would have to drill/ tap for the foward mount screw. I’m send...

Very informative link. Especially about the open fiber optic bead front sight along with a larger diameter hole in the rear peep (.125-.150). That’s the part a feller would have to play around with to see what works best for his eye sight. Thanks !

Interesting, will have to investigate that one. If you come across that thread please let me know. I’ll try to find a pic of one mounted on a gun. Looks like it might be a bit on the wide side. Thanks.

MSmith, that’s a nice sight but I’m holding out for the more compact TC Hunter Peep. Thanks. May have to go the pedersoli ghost peep sight and drill and tap for apertures.

Yeah, I’m not sure what they sold for at the end of their production but I think it’s safe to say, not that amount. There are certainly other ways to skin this cat if one can’t be located at a reasonable cost.

I’m trying to figure how to edit to Wanted instead of For Sale. Sorry for the confusion but the item is wanted and not for sale by me. Thanks.

Hello. I know it’s a long shot but just checking to see if anyone has one of these laying around they no longer need. Due to age and the failing eyesight that goes with it I’m going to have to resort to using something like this. Thanks.

The only thing that didn’t fare well in that situation was the patch, lol. I’d bump up patch thickness/ type a little before tryin over powder wad. Congrats !

    T/C Hawken barrel conversion

Hi Jim. Have you had a chance to weigh your Hawken with the new GM .54 barrel installed ? I’m thinking around 8 pounds which is as heavy as I’d consider toting around at my age and on my hunting grounds. I’m considering that GM .54 barrel. Thanks.
