Not trying to pick a fight...

I think this is where some potential living-historians may get scared-off - they hear the more experienced people preaching perfection, but see something totally different. I am speaking from experience here, because I am new to the historical aspects of muzzleloading and, to be honest, I am...

I make candles and sell them at Renn Faires and SCA events. One of the scents that sells really good to guys is "Woodland Trail". My wife says that smells like dirt and my reply is "Well yeah, thats the point." *lol* She dont git it. :shake:  IronMan

Not trying to pick a fight...

I have a CVA Bobcat that was given to me for Christmas. It is the only BP rifle I own. At this time it has the synth stock. When I can I will replace it with wood simply because I prefer the feel of wood on a long gun. The Bobcat seems to shoot well, what little shooting I have been able to do...

Hi Don I like the Derringer. Accurace is nothing to talk about but after all it was intended for use across a card table or pointblank shooting. It is fun to shoot, makes a nice boom and lots of smoke out of that 3" barrel  My wife found mine at a garage sale for $10 so the price was...

    BP Blank

I am wondering how you would fire a BP rifle without a ball. Full load of powder but no ball. The reason for doing this would be for re-enacting or celabration noise makeing like on the 4th of July or New Years. Any ideas? IronMan

Does anyone remember the "Green Stickum Caps"? They seemed to be more powerful than the rolls and had adhecive on one side to stick on a cartridge that had a plastic bullet. Parents got me a pair of pistols that fired them for christmas one year. IronMan
