    cabelas blue ridge

I bought a Blue Ridge .32 several years ago and found it quite good for plinking, and of course, squirrels. After about a year, I bought the .36 cal barrel, and again find it a real joy to shoot. (it takes about 10 min. to change the barrels) The .32 is great for small varmits, and the .36...

    book reading ...?

I don't know about the hunting bit, but you might look at the books by Allen Eckert. Especially his book titled "The Frontiersman." This is basically about Simon Kenton and the opening of the Northwest Territory (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana). This book and others are available from the Log Cabin...

    Pedersoli Frontier Muzzleloader

Sorry guys, didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest. I didn't realize that Bavarian was talking about flinters, so I threw out my 2 cents regarding my Pedersoli cap guns. My mistake. But I still like my cap guns! I'm out of here now. Going to be working for the next 3 months on building a...

    Pedersoli Frontier Muzzleloader

Bavarian, I really do NOT agree with the previous post by J.D. I have a frontier/Blue Ridge rifle with a .32 barrel and a .36 barrel. I am very satisfied with the rifle. (Also have a Pedersoli Kentucky Rifle .50. Again very satisfied. And all percussion I have not experienced any "spotty"...

    Cabela's Blue Ridge Flintlock

I bought the .32 Blue Ridge in Dec. Fine gun. Then two days ago received a .36 barrel for the rifle. The .36 barrel is a dead image of the .32, of course, in a .36 cal. Mine are all percusion, but the barrels between the flint and cap are basically the same. Both seem to have the patent...

    pydodex vs 777 vs blackpowder

I'll second the notion that black powder is easier to clean than Pyrodex. At least in my Frontier .32 which is a bit of a bear to clean anyway. Not as much differnt cleaning in my KY .50. No much shooting now anyway. 10 inches of snow and temp not above 20 here in SW Ohio. Cheers TK

just got a Crockett .32 cal...

Well, I just got a .32 rifle, and I find that a ball with a diameter of .315 and a .010 patch works quite well. With a .310 ball I find that a .015 patch works well. But a question, which lube.

Your muzzleloader activity in 2006 ??

What I did in 2006? Well, to begin with I bought my first Muzzleloader early in Nov. I was headed South out of Michigan and passed a Cabela's store. Stopped in and came out with a new Pedersoli .50 Kentucky rifle. I finally got all of the accessories and nailed a bunch of pop cans in the...
