    Pietta Patterson

I have a Pietta Patterson that I have shot with both #11 and #10 caps and usually but not always at least 2 times per cylinder I have to let the hammer drop twice. Not sure if it is the hammer not falling hard enough. If it is not, what do I do. Also, when the Texas Rangers used the Patterson...

Can't get barrel off Uberti Dragoon

Yes, I just pulled the wedge completely out and I still can't remove the barrel. I don't want to push any harder on the loading lever because I'm afraid to damage it.

Can't get barrel off Uberti Dragoon

I just purchased an Uberti .44 cal. Dragoon. It looks great and shoots even better. When I went to clean the gun I couldn't get the barrel off. I put the hammer on 1/2 cock and used the loading lever to push hard against the cylinder but it will not come off. Any suggestions. Thanks

    Wooden Range Box

When at the rifle range I have noticed that a lot of the longrifle shooters have really neat wooden boxes that open up and all their black powder stuff they need to shoot their rifles. Also, they have this really neat looking hinged lid part that stands up the flintlock rifle. I have looked on...

drilling out & re-tap clean out

I'm pretty sure it is a drum type clean out. Kit is a CVA 50 cal. kit gun that I put together years ago. I probably put about 400 balls through it before the screw blew out. I then ordered several more screws for that model rifle and two more blew out after about two shots. Will the drum...

drilling out & re-tap clean out

Sorry, I thought I was on the percussion site. It is a percussion that I have and not a flintlock. It is the clean out screw. It blew out the orginianl screw and I ordered more from the manufacuturer and another blew out so I figured I would have to drill and tap for a new screw, but I didn't...

drilling out & re-tap clean out

Has anyone ever drilled out and re-tapped the threads for the clean out screw? My clean out screw keeps firing out of my rifle and I'm wanting to know if I'm getting into a problem area.

    CVA Bolster Screws

I have a CVA .50 cal. Kentucky. Lately, I have had a problem with the bolster screw coming out after firing about three shots. All of sudden it is just gone. I screwed them in tight and I think they might be popping out. Is that possible? Does anyone know why I might be losing the bolster...
