    I have a Renegade with a .54 Green Mountain barrel. It loves 90 grains of FFFg and patched ball. Try more powder.

    Move the rear sight. Then try at longer range. Although I don't expect to shoot thatvfar, I sight for 100 yards. This is where I work on loads. For a hunting gun I increase powder charges 5 grains at a time until I see group size open up. Then go back to 50 to see how high your impact is...

    T/C 1000+ Replacement?

    So the old T/C 1000+ (Bore Butter) is gone and I am about. What do you suggest as a substitute for patches and bore seasoning?

    T/C Hawken ball and patch

    Sadly I still have a whole box of the .495" RC plus a partial. In the past trials with a .010" patch have found that they don't hold up. But patches are cheaper than balls.

    I started shooting an older T/C Hawken in .50 cal. What do you like so far are RB and patch combo? Came with .495" balls but even a .015" patch seems really tight
