    Hunting with glasses

    When I wore glasses years ago I would rub a bar of soap on my lenses and then buff them with a tissue. I think thatI learned it from Field & Stream many years ago.

    Will this leather work for a cows knee?

    One thing that I always do is to dribble some candle wax along the barrel and stock for about 6 inches in front of the lock. Keeps the rain from running down the joint into the lock.

    Tried out the new gun

    I carry a hunk of strong cord in my bag. If my ramrod gets stuck I make about a dozen wraps around the ramrod and tie the loose end around a sapling and jerk the gun until it comes loose. It ain't easy but it sure beats going home before you are done hunting.
