    Pull the barrel if its a repro makers mark normally on the underside, that being said looks like an armisport to me. Nice rifle you may be surprised by accuracy though if you plan to shoot minies in it mine cant hit the broad side of a barn and needs relined

    I am going to have to do this on a bess and a sea service both seem off by about a 1/4 inch by my measurement. they are solid plugs instead of with a hollow base like this. did you have any issues with this? also how did you make the notch just a rat tail file?

    They say the herds were as big as they were in the early 1800s because most of the natives were killed by smallpox before they ever even saw a European or American, even still some of the first hand accounts make it sound like it was something to behold
